The Micah Flagship features are incredible for those with special needs... adjustable seat with back support, loop handlebar with caliper brake, Side Adjustable seat supports, adaptive pedals and adjustable headrest. The all new design has a rear caregiver steering unit to control the ride and the drive train is all internal. Handlebars, seat, side support and headrest are adjustable to insure comfort and safety. Wheels are all quick release making transporting options far greater This is a fixed drive cycle (pedals turn whenever the cycle is on motion. We bought this for our special needs son. He has motor and balance problems. It was fairly easy to put together, although the instructions are not very specific. We did not need the head rest and were able to just leave it off. We also don't need the second Velcro strap on the pedals and are going to remove that as well. My son loves this bike! He had outgrown his regular tricycle and needed something bigger. He has made some pretty sharp corners riding around the driveway and it does not tip at all. The steering handle in the back is great, especially for long rides when we need to get him to the side of the road. He is unable to use the brake well himself. That may come with time, but I wish there was a brake on the rear steering handle. We chose this particular bike because it said it was lightweight and easy to break down for transporting. That is true. It is light enough for me to lift and the wheels pop off (like on a jogging stroller) so we can take it places.
