This exciting new tricycle is based upon our world famous Portotrike (with all the great features including foldable capability) which can be pedaled or ridden under power. The eletric front hub motor is integrated into the 20" front wheel for smooth and efficent power. The Lightning Trike has a caliper brake and coaster (foot)brake, wide comfortable seat, large rear cargo basket, upright handlebars, and much more. To operate the electric system, there is a simple thumb throttle on the handlebars...simply press and go! The Lightning trike comes complete with the battery and charger. Simply plug it into a standard wall outlet when not in use. Riding range of about 10 miles between charges.

This tricycle is recommended for riders weighing less than 200 pounds and for heights of appx 4'8" to 6'0". As with all electric assisted cycles, it is the customer's responsibility to determine if this cycle is in compliance with any local ordinances. So who is this cycle for??? While this cycle is lots of fun for everyone,there are two primary uses;

Wacky Tricycles--that is to say they are used for "party trikes" for events such as corporate meetings where they are "raced " (at low speeds of course) around a make shift track- different teams ride WTX trikes in a race which builds fun-filled competition.

However, it is really ideal for therapeutic use. Schools and hospitals find these to be ideal for motion training and physical therapy for special needs riders.

Super Wide thickly padded Seat is standard. The WTX is designed for controlled environmnets where short distances are covered and low speed is the order of the day. Ideal for riders 10 and up. Standard Color Electric Blue.
